A note from the team on where we started, where we are, and what's coming next.
When we started Modulify, we weren't chasing a trend. We were solving a problem we lived with every day.
After more than 15 years building websites professionally, we knew the friction points better than anyone. The back-and-forth between Figma and Webflow. The hours spent recreating the same structure for every new project. The wireframes that lived in one tool, the styles in another, and the final site in a third. Not because designers wanted it that way — but because no single tool ever respected the full workflow.
That's what we set out to change.
Modulify was built from the ground up to give designers, freelancers, and agencies a single intelligent workspace — one that takes you from a blank page to a fully styled, Webflow-ready layout in minutes, not hours.
There's no shortage of AI design tools right now. We know that. The phrase "AI website builder" has started to lose its meaning — and honestly, it should. Most of those tools were built to impress in demos. They generate something that looks right on the surface, but the moment you try to customize it, scale it, or hand it off to a client, the cracks show.
We built Modulify for the opposite reason.

Our AI doesn't try to replace your creative judgment — it handles the repetitive scaffolding so you can focus on the parts that actually require your expertise. Generate a sitemap from a single prompt. Get responsive wireframes built on real UX principles. Apply a full design system — colors, typography, spacing, imagery — with one click using our Vibes feature. Then copy it straight into Webflow, with structure and styles intact.
The result is an AI-powered system for generating structured, scalable Webflow layouts — not just something that looks good in a 30-second demo. That distinction matters to us, and it shows in the tool.
Since we launched, we've been building in public and shipping fast — driven by feedback from our community and our own vision for the product.
We added Brand Uploads, so you can bring your client's logo, colors, and identity into every project from day one. We launched 50,000+ icons through our Ikonik integration, alongside AI-powered image generation and premium visuals from Lummi. We shipped Client-First support for those of you who build on Finsweet's methodology. We introduced eCommerce components, Workspaces for team collaboration, shareable project links for client presentations, and a full UI refresh that makes the whole experience faster and more intuitive.
Every corner of the Modulify app has been refined — from the welcome screen to how you manage colors, branding, layouts, and projects.
We also became a Webflow App, making the handoff from design to publish smoother than it's ever been.
Many of these updates came from listening to you, the designers and builders who use Modulify every day, combined with our ongoing work to improve the platform. And that’s not going to change.
This is the part we're most excited to talk about.
For a while now, Modulify has been the best place to design and plan your Webflow site. But you've still needed to take that final step — copy to Webflow, set up hosting, hit publish — outside of our platform.
That's about to change.
We're building native publishing directly inside Modulify. This means that soon, you'll be able to go from your first prompt all the way to a live, published website — without ever leaving the tool.

This is a significant milestone for us, and not just technically. It means Modulify is no longer just a Webflow companion. It's becoming a complete, end-to-end platform for building and launching websites. Your workflow, start to finish, in one place.
We're not ready to share a launch date just yet — but we're close, and we couldn't be more proud of where this is heading. Stay tuned. You'll be among the first to know.
We've always been honest about this: Modulify initially was built for professionals first.
If you're a freelancer managing multiple client projects, Modulify gives you back hours every week. If you're an agency with a team, our Workspaces and shared design systems keep everyone consistent and moving fast. If you're a founder or creator who wants a professional website without hiring a developer, Modulify gets you there without a steep learning curve.
But now, as we expand beyond Webflow with native publishing, we're opening the door wider to non-professional designers and anyone who wants to build something great on the web, regardless of their technical background.
We want to be direct about something: we don't think AI should replace designers. We never have.
The best design still comes from human judgment, taste, and understanding of a client's goals. What AI can do — and what we've built Modulify to do — is eliminate the parts of the process that don't require that judgment. The repetitive setup. The style iterations. The structural scaffolding that takes hours but adds nothing creative.
When AI handles that, designers get to do more of what they're actually good at. That's the version of AI-assisted design we believe in, and it's the one we're building toward.
If you haven't used Modulify yet, the best thing we can say is: just try it. Start a project, run a prompt, apply a Vibe, and see what lands in front of you in three minutes.
If you're already part of the community — thank you. Every feature we've shipped, every update we've pushed, every late night we've spent refining the experience has been because of how much you've shown up for this product.
The best is genuinely still ahead.
